  1. Hi Susan! Great website! Your story about being constantly put on antibiotics hit home. I have struggled with sinus infections for many years now, but I too have come to learn that antibiotics aren’t necessarily the way. I am amazed that my doctor would just continue to prescribe them regardless of whether it was viral or not. That is so dangerous! What if one day I were to really get a bad infection? Since I moved to Denmark, I have learned more about this because they are the complete opposite here. I would say that nine times out of the ten times I become ill, I will not receive any medicine. I don’t know if this is because they’re cheap or if it is sound medical advice, but I’ve come to learn that the body can usually take care of itself and that we shouldn’t be messing with our bodies by taking prescriptions.

  2. Hi Amy, I hear you! Sinus infections have been such a problem for me and I know they are for so many other people, too. It’s especially difficult for singers. I will post all sorts of remedies to help combat them and also information about the underlying allergies that are usually the cause of them. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Hi Susan, I just finished a 5 day workshop on the west coast called “The Natural Singer” given by Claude Stein. I was wondering if you will talk about ways to open the back of the throat and how to build support airy voices? Thanks Julianne

    • Hi Julianne! I had never heard of Claude Stein until I started my blog! But, I read about what he does and it sounds very interesting. The issue that you are requesting information about is really intriguing and I was planning on posting in the future about a technique that is a divergence from ‘traditional’ technique that is taught in most schools and conservatories. It has helped me tremendously and it might be interesting to you and other readers. Please keep posted because I will write about it and I will address your question specifically, as well. Thanks for reading!

  4. I swear, I have pinned almost all of your recipes on my pinterest board! I have been interested in getting more spices in my diet ever since I started writing and researching my Spice Series on my website. Thanks for having so many amazing and delicious looking meals for me to try in order to eat more spices! I appreciate it!
